4/29/23: Hey everyone
So, as of 4/23 we are busy mixing the first track on our first full length album. It has been a while since we put out new music but i think it will be worth the wait!

Self Imposed Exile is a progressive blackened death metal band out of Streator Illinois.
Since 2010, Nick Moreno (guitar), Mark Garcia (guitar) and James "Frank" Lepore (drums) have been playing in bands together but they always come back to wanting mo make the music that they desired as opposed to sole creating someone elses vision. In 2014 while memvers were playing in different bands they decided to try and bring Self Imposed Exile to life when Dave Demoss decided to step in on bass and the writing process had begun. Through the years they had a couple of different vocalists and played a handful of shows with them until 2019 when Tristan Kostman was added as lead vocal. Within 5 months shows started up and the debut EP had been recorded and shows were starting to get booked once again.
In January of 2020, we were signed to Ragebreed records had high hopes of tours, recording, and all out mayhem but Covid happened which brought things to a grinding halt. So we buckled down and became a tighter version of the band we are today.
In January of 2021, we parted ways with Ragebreed records and went back to a solely DIY project. We also had to blessing of adding Cassandra Ann to the mix on keys and rounding out the bands unique mix of sound.
Flash forward to 2023 and we are in the process of recording a full length album and coming up on what looks to be a very busy spring and summer for shows. We hope to see you at one soon!
